ReplyDelete"bon" comes from the masculine French word "bon" which means "good".
"bonn" or "bòn" comes from the feminine French word "bonne" which also means "good"
There is very "few" gender accord in Haitian Creole. And they don't usually follow the rules. So, it's best to memorize these slight changes.
Example, memorize when to use "bon" or "bòn".
bòn chans. - good luck
bòn nwit. - good night
bòn ane. - Happy New Year
bon kalite. - good quality.
bon weekend. - good weekend
bon moun. - good people
