question for you, the translation to the following sentence doesn't work for me. Am I missing something? Here it is: "Nou monte kap lè fè gwo van." This is what I got: we go up that is when it's very windy. That can't b right.

I think the Creole word kap in your sentence should be translated in English as kite.
kap → kite
monte kap → fly a kite
