Declaration of Love sung by TiCorn and Koralen

what is 'maldamou'?

Maldamou is synonymous with being lovesick or suffering from a broken heart when you love someone and they don't love you in return. It's also called maladi damou.
Example:
li gen maldamou - he has a broken heart
li soufri maladi damou - he suffers from a broken heart.

How would you say, I fell in love with you since day 1?

M tonbe damou pou ou depi premye jou m renkontre w.

My Haitian hubby of nearly three years doesn't celebrate Valentines' day. We good together. I'm sure he loves me, but Valentines is just not his thing. How do you say, 'get off your butt and bring me some flowers'

How about you bring home a bottle of wine to celebrate what you got. A bottle of wine and the love of a good man, what more could you ask for:)
