how do you say but in haitian creole

There are many ways to say "but" in Haitian Creole.

You will often hear "men"

example:

I like them but they don't like me.
Mwen renmen yo men yo pa renmen m.

I am lying down but I'm not asleep.
Mwen kouche men mwen p'ap dòmi.

Other Haitian Creole words that you will hear for "but" are: epoutan, poutan, sepandan
