older lady or older man → granmoun, pèsonaj

A courteous name for an older person is "pèsonaj" rather than "granmoun".

Granmoun → mature, wise because of age, experienced because of age, venerated

Se Bondye ki granmoun.

God is is the mature one.

or
God has the last say.

older, wiser, and happier
pi granmoun, pi saj, pi kontan

Mwen granmoun - I am a mature adult, I'm a grown up, I'm an old person

elder - granmoun aje, moun ki pi gran
