what is "hell" in Creole?

hell is lanfè in Creole
But, you cannot use that in expressions such as:  What the hell...

    Hi! I often come to your site for research!

    I was wondering if lanfè can be capitalized as Lanfè to distinguish it as a specific place, as done sometimes with the English words Hell or Heaven. Or is there another world for the underworld that would be more appropriate? Thank you!

      The first letter of the Creole word "lanfè " is not generally capitalized.
      Sometimes people say, flanm lanfè, labim, or lajeyèn
