I know "to have fun" is translated as 'amize you' and 'pran plèzi ou'. But i heard someone used a word for 'have fun', and it sounded like the english word 'distress'. Can u help with that?
must have been the word "distrè", from the French "distraire"
Distrè (a reflexive verb) → to have some fun, to entertain self
Aprè travay, mwen pral distrè mwen enpe.
After work, I'm going to have a little fun.

"margin" of a printed page. Not the edge ("bò") on which you can cut your finger, but the white space around the text.
margin → maj
Pa ekri nan maj papye a.
Do not write in the margin.
Lè w'ap ekri lèt la, kite anpil espas nan maj yo.
When you're writing the letter, leave ample space in the margins.
