WOW! Great job on your Creole! You demonstrated such an accurate use of "deske". And you are right to put "ki" in parentheses. You may omit it altogether.

Paske → because
Piske → since
akòz → because of
poutèt → because
Examples:
Mwen paka sòti DESKE mwen malad.
I can't go out SINCE I'm ill.
Nou ale lakay nou DESKE pa't gen class.
We went home SINCE there were no class.
Mèsi DESKE nou te vini.
