santi fò → smell bad (bad body odor, uncleaned stuff, etc..)

    "Mayass" is the Creole word for a bad shoe smell.
    A wet carpet in an enclosed space has that smell also.

    I bet if you say the Creole word "mayass" a few times, you'll figure out where it's derived from :)
