I was very excited to go to Haiti and was looking forward to telling tales of Bouki and Malis to the children. But I could see that some people were clearly uneasy with this. A woman wanted to wait until night time, but I was not available at night. I got the impression that they considered the tales a bedtime story. Am

The only thing I could think of, that could have made these people uneasy, is that in general it's considered bad luck to tell tales (tire kont) during day time.
