1. "chache kraze rak"
Kraze rak (degèpi or chape poul) → to escape, to break away, to flee, to decamp
Chache kraze rak → to atempt to flee, to try to make a run for it, to try to break away
2. lage koukouwouj (fè koukourouj) → to hunt for someone, to go after someone
3. Li dewoule a di → (I'm not too sure what this exact sentence mean)

if you had "dewoule a di", I would translate it as "the beginning is tough" or "Getting started is tough".
but that's not what we seem to have here.

Mwen pa t ba-w kontèks ase pou #3. M' regrèt sa. Men fraz-la:
ReplyDelete'Responsab yo nan "Beth Israel Hospital" nan rejyon ensidan sa a ap dewoule a di sispèk la---yon gason adilt---te deja gen kè l rete lè li rive lopital la e l te genyen plizyè twou bal ak blese nan kò li ki fè kwè li te genyen eksplozif sou li tou.'
Mwen t ap li jounal-la lè m' te wè mo-yo men m' pa t vle voye-w nouvèl move. :(
Nan ka sa-a 'dewoule a di' vle di 'started to say'?
Ah....mèsi! I understand it better now :)
DeleteIn this instance, it means happening, unfolding, unraveling, going on
....nan rejyon ensidan sa a ap dewoule a di sispèk la .....
...in the region this incident is unfolding say that the suspect.....
Mwen ka wè erè-m-lan. M' t ap panse 'dewoule a di' te gen rapo ak 'responsab' setadi 'responsab dewoule a di'. Men si sa te bon sa ta vle di mo 'a' a ta vle di 'to' kòm nan pannyòl oubyen franse. M' konprann kounye la.
