I can understand why you don't believe it. It's because unemployment in Haiti is disguised under the name epidemi :-\ Just think, if half, or even ten percent of the people who had emigrated from the country didn't do so... if they had decided to stay in Haiti, work, raise a family.... how different their life would be.

Sorry I did not say that correctly. I meant unemployment benefits. He said it is called ofatma
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a service available to a very small group of working people in Haiti (as you may imagine).
DeleteThere are other companies which offer sick leave and medical insurance. I know Teleco was one of them.
To me, the ideal employer in Haiti would offer unemployment benefits and medical insurance which can be used in hospital abroad. That would be helpful to sick people seeking medical treatment overseas.
So if u lost ur job in haiti how would getting unemployment work
ReplyDeleteThat's a question for your employer in Haiti.
ReplyDeleteDoes your employer offer these benefits?
Are you eligible?
Eske ou te gen yon dizon avèk konpayi w'ap travay la pou yo peye w yon pousantaj lajan pou yon nonm tan, sizanka ou ta tonbe malad?
Tonton mwen t'ap travay pou lame Ayiti.
