  1. It also means "idiot" or someone who behaves in the manner of a wild animal in the jungle (ex: monkey).

    Interestingly, Baka is a member of a nomadic Pygmy people inhabiting the rain forests of southeastern Cameroon and northern Gabon. Perhaps slaves changed the meaning as an insult (not very nice). As well, in Japanese it means "idiot" or "stupid". In Spanish and Tagalog (Philippines) it means "cow" and is also used as an insult.
